Your privacy is extremely important to us. Dank Alert was built with an ironclad, strictly opt-in data collection system. This Privacy Policy details exactly what we collect, why we need it, and how you have absolute control over your data.

1. Strict Opt-In Data Collection

Unlike many bots, Dank Alert does not passively scrape, log, or track your interactions with Dank Memer by default.

When you first trigger an event that the Bot can track (such as a Global Boost, Scratch, or fishing event), you will receive a temporary 60-second prompt asking for your explicit consent. If you ignore this prompt, the Bot will automatically default to "Declined All" and will permanently ignore your messages without prompting you again. You can manually adjust these settings at any time using the /privacy consent command.

2. What Data We Collect

When you explicitly opt-in or intentionally use specific Bot features, we may collect the following:

• Discord Identification: Your Discord User ID and Username. This is required to identify you across our databases and to provide personalized settings (e.g., showing "Detected by Username" in global alerts if you have public display enabled).
• Game State & Tracking Metrics: If you explicitly opt-in to specific tracking categories (like the Fish Tracker, Scratches, or Boosts), we will record the contents of those specific Dank Memer interactions. This includes items caught, NPCs talked to, scratch rewards, and boost durations.
• Configuration Data: Reminders you set (e.g., Farm Reminder, Pet Reminder), channel setups (Server Admin configurations), and custom preferences.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to make the Bot function as intended:

• To provide you with accurate calculators, tracking statistics, and historical logs.
• To send you timely direct message reminders (if enabled).
• To broadcast server-wide alerts (like Mythical Fish Spawns or Server Boosts) to opted-in channels.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with any third-party companies, advertisers, or entities.

4. Your Rights & Total Data Control

We believe your data belongs to you. We provide commands to give you full transparency and control:

• Access Your Data (/privacy accessdata): You can request a complete ZIP file containing every single row of data associated with your Discord ID across all of our databases.
• Manage Consent (/privacy consent): You can granularly toggle tracking on or off for specific categories (e.g., keep scratches tracking ON, but turn Fishing tracking OFF).
• Wipe Your Data (/privacy wipedata): With one command, you can permanently, irreversibly delete every log, setting, preference, and metric associated with your account from our entire system.

5. Server-Grade Settings

Certain features (like Search Spawn or Mythical Fish alerts) are configured by Server Administrators to output to specific server channels. These alerts only parse public in-game event data and do not collect or broadcast any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) about the user who triggered the event.

6. Security & Retention

Data is stored securely on our infrastructure and is only accessed by the developers for debugging or maintaining Bot functionality. We retain your tracking data indefinitely to provide accurate historical statistics, unless you explicitly request a wipe or revoke your consent.
